Individual Therapy

Weekly

Clients beginning therapy are seen for weekly visits when they first begin therapy. It is difficult to determine how long weekly visits will be recommended. A determination is made as part of on-going assessment on a case-by-case basis. Usually as symptoms decrease, I check in with clients to determine how they would like to proceed.

Biweekly

Once symptoms have decreased, are not present, or easier to manage, clients may request bi-weekly visits. Bi-weekly visits are a great way to modify treatment so you can continue to maintain progress with limited support.

Maintenance

This is a choice that clients may collaboratively discuss with me once their symptoms reach low frequency and chronicity or are not present for longer periods of time. You might choose maintenance instead of ending treatment because you like the idea of a check-up every once in a while. Maintenance is currently offered on a monthly basis.

Between Sessions

What we do in session is only part of the work! When it makes sense, we will practice techniques, such as mindfulness, sensory awareness, reframing of thoughts, and anxiety reduction exercises. The fun part is putting it to practice in your daily life. Treatment will include homework “between sessions”.
